Protecting the Environment

Posted: March 26, 2013 in Uncategorized

Hi everyone,

As I told you last week, our 4th grade students have prepared some leaflets about how we can help to protect the environment.  So, this week they presented them in front of 3rd primary students. Our students explained 3rd grade students, 20 different ways to preserve environment in Spanish and also in English. They were quite nervous but, they did it really well.

Here you have some pictures of the presentation,

Happy Easter!

Hi everyone,

Third primary have been working very hard on their presentation skills by learning how light and shadows can transform their artwork in amazing ways. They have all achieved great results with these techniques.

Hi everyone,

We’ve recently started reading “The Monkey King” in 3 eso (advanced). It’s a well-known Chinese legend full of mysterious and magic characters. Here’s a link with additional information.

Talking about communities

Posted: March 26, 2013 in Uncategorized
Hi there,
This week 2º ESO Students are starting the unit about communities. In this unit they are going to talk about getting on with neighbours.I found this interesting website which contains a lesson plan Love thy neighbour which I find quite useful.
First of all, it has some role plays examples – problems people experience with neighbours. Then, there are some real complaints people send about their neighbours and ss have to reply to them giving them advice how to deal with problematic neighbours.

Revising linkers

Posted: March 26, 2013 in Uncategorized
Hi everyone,
This activity is for 3º ESO students but it coulda als be used for 2º ESO students who are preparing for FCE exam.
It aims at revising different linkers of purpose (although, though, even though,  in spite of the fact etc.)  and contrast. It is an online exercise that is directly corrected.
Before the exercises there is a short explanation.

Challenges

Posted: March 19, 2013 in INTERESTING WEBSITES

Hi there,

This week third graders worked on challenges. After reading the popular story ‘The North Wind and the Sun’ students worked in pairs. They asked and answered about their abilities (are you good at (climbing trees)? This activity is quite useful to pratise the oral skill. It can be followed by another writing activity describing one’s challenges. Children love to talk about it.
