Optical Illusions

Posted: December 19, 2016 in INTERESTING WEBSITES, IT

Hello,
This week in sixth primary, we have been looking at various types of optical illusions and we have been trying to figure out the reason why our eyes play tricks on us.
While they were preparing their presentations, the students came across quite a few interesting websites with interactive optical illusions. Here is the link to one of their favourites:

http://www.magicmgmt.com

This site has lots of interesting illusions, along with explanations. We hope you enjoy them as much as we did.

Hi everyone!
I’ve come across this App, it looks promising to give speaking practice a go in a fun way:
Voki is a talking avatar students can design and easily post on a blog or website. Sue Waters has written excellent step-by-step instructions on how to post a Voki.

Hi everyone,

In the following website you can enter a text and the app will convert your written words into an MP3 audio file. This might be very useful in class if you are planning a bingo or any kind of listening activity. The quality of the voices is the best I’ve found in any online programme. I hope you give it a good use!

Typing game!

Posted: January 23, 2014 in IT
Hi everyone,
In the following website students might practice their typing with different games. Students might learn while they have fun. It is directly related to what we are working with in the second term with 4th and 5th primary.
Hope you give it a good use!

Interesting App

Hi everyone!

This week we’ve done a mind map in 1 BACH using an App: Mindomo. As we’re working on the world of work, they did about the different professions. I send their work attached, what would you  like to be…?
