Hi everyone,

Today we’ve been creating spooky animations using PowerPoint in the IT lessons. We’ve learnt how to remove backgrounds and add custom path movements to create scary scenes! Hope you’ve enjoyed it! Happy Halloween!

Hi everyone,
For Library day, I shared my favorite childhood book,  Goosebumps “Let´s Get Invisible!”, the students then had to create a really scary, intense, breathtaking, and peaceful book. Apart from making a wonderful cover.

Well done everyone!

Peace Day Activities!

Posted: February 1, 2017 in SPECIAL OCCASIONS

Hello, everyone!!
This is 5th grade. Last Monday 30th we celebrated Peace Day. We had some activities in the classroom and a wonderful show outside.

In our classrooms we worked on Martin Luther King. We wanted to know who he was, why he is so important (nowadays more than ever!), what he was ‘fighting’ for and his particular way of doing it. We used our iPads to find the information the teacher asked us to search and we answered all those questions. Then, we created a ‘wall’ using our whiteboard. The wall was not for separating people, countries or ideas, but for putting the most relevant for us quotes by Martin Luther King together and think about them.
Here you have a couple of pictures: how we helped each other to create the wall and the final product we got. Hope you like it; we do!
Post you soon!

Hi everyone,
Last week we visited a vivarium in Mogán and children had fun and learnt a lot about different plants. Finally they planted seeds they can pick up in couple weeks.

Goethe Exams!

Posted: May 18, 2016 in GERMAN, SPECIAL OCCASIONS

Hi folks,

After long and persistent preparation during the whole school year,
our students finally got the chance to prove their German knowledge.
Last Saturday, eight students of 6th primary and 1st and 2nd ESO took
part in external German exams “Fit in Deutsch” of the Goethe
Institute. They have done a wonderful job with listening, reading,
writing and speaking activities.

Die Schüler unserer Schule haben ganz viel von Deutsch gelernt und
geübt in diesem Schuljahr. Am letzten Samstag haben acht Schüler der
6. Primäre und 1. und 2. ESO Klassen auf der offiziellen deutschen
Prüfung „Fit in Deutsch“ von Goethe Institut teilgenommen. Sie hatten
viel Erfolg beim Hören, Lesen, Schreiben und Sprechen.

What a wonderful atmosphere we managed to create for the Week of Languages in Secondary with our Literary Tunnel dedicated to Shakespeare! Every class from 1st to 4th Secondary were allotted a play by Shakespeare to work on and they produced some great posters to decorate with as well as quizzes, iMovie trailers and street performances that made up the hustle and bustle of the 17th Century Market place environment we wanted to re-create. The students learnt lots about Shakespeare and now know that Hamlet, Romeo and Juliet, A Midsummer Night’s Dream and Much Ado about Nothing are all plays written by this genius playwright.

Well done!

Patricia
