Top ten escapes!

Posted: February 28, 2017 in FUNNY ACTIVITIES

Hello everyone!

My class of 4 ESO has been working on a great project: The top ten escapes! The topic is escaping, but the choice was free. They got in pairs or threesomes to produce a writing that had something to do with this topic and the outcome has been really original. Some wrote about one famous escape, others a diary of a Jewish girl, others about dream holidays to travel to for a break… We bonded it all together and this is the final product.

Creating games with Hopscotch!

Posted: February 28, 2017 in Uncategorized

Hi everyone,

During the last weeks students have been creating their first games with Hopscotch in 5th and 6th primary. They’ve learnt how to create their own landscapes, score and characters. It’s a very funny way of learning how to code while they keep on reinforcing English in CAS ROBOTS. Some of them are already finished and they will be shared in class so they can vote the best ones!

Ready for Carnival?

Posted: February 27, 2017 in FUNNY ACTIVITIES

Hello everyone!!!

This is 5th grade getting ready for Carnival! And you? Are you preparing your costumes and make up! Let the music play and have fun!

Here you are a couple of activities that will introduce you into the Carnival mood. The first one is just a rhyme and, as such, very easy to memorise and repeat.

The second is a wordseach where you can revise and learn the variety of Carnival costumes you can wear.

Hope you enjoy both! Post you soon!

Life Cycle of a plant!

Posted: February 26, 2017 in ARTS, SCIENCE

This week fourth primary have been learning about the life cycle of a plant in their Science lessons. We teamed up with the art teacher to help inspire their creativity and here you can see the results of this collaboration. The students really enjoyed bringing the different subjects together, working as a team always helps to enhance productive learning.

Hi everyone,

Word Island is a very effective and appealing app for students to revise basic vocabulary and learn some new words at the same time they are playing and competing. Try and they will be hooked on it.

Revising vocabulary in German!

Check out the wonderful pseudo-squirrel that the students have created playing with vocabulary about verbs this week!

Hello everyone!

I’ve just come across a new App I really like: Venn diagram. As you can easily infer, it’s for producing this type of diagrams. I’ve already used it with my baccalaureate students. My group of 1bac has used it to compare and contrast passive and active voice; while my 2bac students have analysed the similarities and differences between present perfect and past perfect. I send some pics of their work.
I hope you find it as interesting as me! Let me know whether you use it!

All best!

In 2 ESO we are starting to study about human geography.
In the current unit we are learning about how the worlds population is expanding at an alarming rate and some of the reasons why this is happening.

Below is a link to an interesting site that includes a video about how the worlds population has evolved over time.
World Population History

We are also looking at the various methods of analysing population and how it has changed over time.
The students of 2 ESO are utilising their mathematics skills viewing and analysing data as PIE charts, Population Pyramids and Line charts

Enjoy it!

Hello everyone:

As part of our cooperative work, these lovely students became teachers for a while!

Have a nice week!:)

Das Wetter und die Jahreszeiten.

Posted: February 14, 2017 in Uncategorized

3rd Grade students worked on the unit Project this week. Each group prepared a season of the year and they had to talk about the weather on that concrete season. The outcome is wonderful posters that decorate our class now.

Enjoy it!
