Posted: June 8, 2013 in Uncategorized

Hi everyone,

My pupils are working on houses through history as a part of the project in this term and I found interesting website.

Using the e-beam the students have to send objects to the time tunnel if they are not according to the picture.

Have a look!!

Canary Islands Day

Posted: June 8, 2013 in Uncategorized

Hi everyone,

Last 30th May our community has celebrated its day and in our school our students have done some special activities to keep our traditions alive. First of all, they have learnt how to prepare bread in the traditional way. Secondly, students had a concert with popular songs in the Canary Islands.  Then, we celebrated the party in the classroom with typical food as for example, “papas arrugadas” and “gofio”. Finally, our students played some traditional games in our community and they had a lot of fun when they ran inside the sacks.

Here some photos of our students preparing bread!

Taboo game online!

Posted: June 8, 2013 in Uncategorized

Hi everyone,

In the following website students may find a taboo game online. They will have different cards selected from a database. They will have to describe the underlined word without using the different words showed in the card. It might be funny. I hope you give it a good use!

Xerach

Hi everyone,

This week our 4th grade students visited the factory of gofio “La Piña”.  First of all,  students watched a video which explained them the importance and the benefits of eating gofio, mainly for breakfast since, it allows us to have energy for the whole day. Then, we had a tour around the factory and they could see some machines, used to wrap the packets, which impressed children greatly. Finally, students tasted milk with gofio and they said that they will eat gofio at home in the mornings.  It was such a good experience for children and a way to promote an important tradition in our community.

Body Language

Posted: June 8, 2013 in Uncategorized

Hi everyone,

This video was used by 3º ESO students in their presentation about gestures and body language. Ss talked about the meaning of gestures in different countries and how important body language is. Then they spoke about sign language and as a conclusion we watched this video about a shadow theatre made with human bodies from the program Britain´s got a talent. I hope you enjoy it as much as we did.

Bath Bombs in the Lab!

Posted: June 8, 2013 in Uncategorized

Hi everyone,

Here are some pictures of 2ºESO B making bath bombs in the lab. We used sodium bicarbonate, citric acid, food colouring, maize flour and olive oil to make the bath bombs. The students enjoyed getting messy and successfully made their bath bombs fizz and bubble as they hit the water.

Well done!!
