Hi everyone,
This week 6th primary students have started learning modal verbs.
I have explained the usage to them and how these verbs change their forms in different tenses. We did some oral activities from the SB and ss had to give examples of sentences using modal verbs as permission, request, deduction, ability etc.
To reinforce I have found some printable activities with different modals. Here is the link to the website:
I hope you will find it useful too.

The Art of Persuasion

Posted: November 17, 2014 in Uncategorized
Hi everyone,

This is a video that shows me trying to persuade people to buy an electric car. This totally off the cuff and English teachers can use it in their classroom to see if students are persuaded to buy an electric car. They can have students think about vocabulary, as well as gestures that I used to persuade potential buyers.

Hi everyone,
The website I would like to recommend seems quite useful for teaching Spanish to foreigners. It includes a variety of resources aiming at learners of Spanish through English. While some activity packs are to be paid for, there is a bunch of resources that can be viewed in pdf and downloaded for free.
It offers basic vocabulary related to e.g. food, animals as well as simple conversations and basic grammar.
I find it quite useful for my classes. I hope you will like it.
Here is the link.

Hello!

This is a great ice-breaker high quality video about the importance of writing well in English.
I’ve asked my students to spot at least three mistakes that English speakers usually make.
Be careful, it’s a very sticky song!
Bye!
