So October bid farewell with the Science Show and Halloween. We ended the month doing some trivia quizzes on the origins of Halloween, where the students had to read in a different way, in order to check their answers and through this gain access so some cultural knowledge of this popular holiday.

November started with new fresh energy, and with it a new creative project. From 3 ESO to 2 Baccalaureate, the students did similar, but not identical, projects using the iPad as a video recorder. The assignment consisted of them working in pairs and reading a chapter or two in different locations, using as much creativity as they wished, while their partner recorded them. The task was a good laugh and all seemed to thoroughly enjoy the challenge of becoming a “film” director for a while. The follow up of this activity will be to rank the best places to read in the school and also a special prize for the best videos in each class.

Happy reading folks and we shall share more of our adventures next week.
