Working on Pronunciation!

Posted: October 19, 2014 in FUNNY ACTIVITIES

Hi everyone,

This year Readers will be used for a lot more than reading and this week we have had our first pronunciation awareness session. Since the past tense –ed ending is quite difficult to keep track off, we have done some activities to better get to grips with the /d/, /t/ and /id/ pronunciation of the regular past tense verbs. All the classes from 3 ESO to 2 Bachillerato did the activities, and they were all surprised to find that at least one or two of the verbs were pronounced differently from what they thoughtJ   Every month we’ll work on an area of pronunciation to make sure our students not only master the written and read skills of English, but also continue to work on their speaking, which in turn will also improve their listening.
