Perfekt Circle!

Posted: November 3, 2013 in FUNNY ACTIVITIES

To practice and revise the grammar rules to form German Perfekt constructions and how to form the participle of German verbs, we did this activity with 1st and 2nd ESO students.

In the 1st lesson, students sat down in groups. Every group got an empty poster and a topic:

a) Satzbau + Präsens und Perfekt + Hilfsverben sein / haben

b) Regelmäßige Verben

c) Verben die auf –ieren enden

d) Trennbare Verben

e) Untrennbare Verben

f) Unregelmäßige Verben

Then, students created their poster with explanations and examples.

In the 2nd lesson, Students were mixed up in groups so that in every group will be a member of the different topics. The posters are lying in different points of the classroom. The groups start to go around. When a group came to a poster, the group member who did it, explained to the rest of the groups the rules and did several examples to practice with them. The rest of the group took notes. In every group there was one expert in every moment.

In the 3rd lesson, we did a short test to see if all students understood the explained rules.

They enjoyed the activity!
